Other - S.C. Student Sues Over Governor's Balk on Stimulus
18-year-old Casey Edwards, a senior at Chapin High School, has filed a lawsuit against the state, trying to prevent Governor Sanford from declining the millions of dollars intended for South Carolina schools. I found this article today on Edweek.org and thought it went along very well with all we have been discussing in class. The teenager said the documentary Corridor of Shame is what influenced her to take a stand for schools in her state. She believes all children in our state should receive the high quality education she believes she received. Here's the link to the article.
